Into the Unknown

I'm guessing the majority of people have seen the Disney movie Frozen, or at least have heard of it. I used to relate to Anna more. Not only is my middle name Ann, but I have been a hopeless romantic since I learned how to read. I mean, who doesn't want to meet their soulmate and eat ice cream?
As I grow older and gain more responsibilities, I relate more to Elsa. More specifically, to her song Let It Go, the line "conceal, don't feel, don't let them know" strikes me in more ways than I'd like to admit. Especially lately. Her character and her emotions perfectly embody the fear and strength that someone can silently carry. It is scary having to experience things that might affect your life's entirety. One wrong move could flip a switch, and you don't always have control over which way it goes. Although you do have control over how you react, every action has a reaction.
As scary as it is jumping into the unknown, it's even scarier locking yourself away in an icy palace because you don't believe that you deserve the happy ending. Sometimes I have days where I want to lock myself inside and throw away the key, but instead I keep going. I keep going towards the unknown. The unknown that frightens me into a panic and gives me goosebumps.
