I Wish to be the Light in the Dark

What happens when we die? Does anyone truly know? I mean, sure, we each have our own guess, maybe some are more realistic than others. I'm not sure what I think happens, but I hope that it's something peaceful. One theory is that after death, our souls reincarnate into a new body. Whether it be human, animal, or some other kind of life force.

That brings me to my next question: when you look up into the night sky, what do you see? You might see a vast, never-ending span of darkness, or you might see speckles of brightness shining ever so bright, lighting your way through the dark. I dream of becoming one of those, to be reincarnated into something where not a single person can question whether it's shining or whether it's doing the right thing. Continuously allowing itself to shine and not dimming itself for any reason.

Stars have always amazed me; it amazes me how many of them there are and how they shine. It's essentially a ball of gas, which in itself blows my mind, and further intrigues me when you think about how the Sun is a star. The Sun is fundamental in our solar system, and we would probably be ice cubes without it. The light and the warmth it gives off allow us to thrive and do whatever we are meant to be doing. Sure, maybe I am meant to be living as I am in this moment, but it's also possible that I am meant to be a star. We are all meant for something; sometimes it just takes longer to decipher that purpose. If anything, look up at those stars and realize that they are a force guiding you to where you were always meant to be.
