My Monthly Junk Journaling

Let me start off with a question. Why is it called junk journaling? Depending on the perspective, anything could be considered junk, so what makes these tiny scraps earn that classification? Can you imagine how many things we have classified as junk that are the most beautiful amazing items, but we just didn't happen to see it? This could even happen with people you come across; you make a judgment without choosing to dig any deeper or ask yourself why something is the way it is.
I started junk journaling this past January because I wanted to have a recap of what I had done that month. Whether it be the mundane things I do everyday or those special events that pop up here and there. Time flies like nobody's business, but I want it to be my business, I want to be aware of it all and remember those tiny moments that felt so big to me at the time. Sometimes I ask myself, is life worth living for? I would say that those small moments culminate into one big reason on why life is worth it. To answer why I junk journal in one simple answer, I love seeing the things I do displayed right in front of me. No one, not even myself, can persuade me into thinking I don't take part in these magnificent small things.
