My Vincent Van Gogh Moment

First and foremost, I did not cut off my ear if that was what you were thinking. I like my ears, thank you very much. Would I say that Vincent Van Gogh is my favorite artist? Maybe. Maybe not. One of my favorite paintings was created by him, and it's one that everyone knows. The Starry Night. The colors are simple, and so is the idea, but there is something beautiful about it.

I have a 1,000-piece puzzle of that painting framed in my room. Yes, that puzzle took me a lifetime to finish. Maybe the lifetime of a housefly.

We have this huge blank canvas sitting in the hallway, and I want it to be my summer project. I know August is almost already over, but I only just finished my finals. I am going to take the break while I can and relish in it. Whether that means resting and rotting away into a whole of comfort in my bed. Or deciding to create pieces of art that only the few and far between can appreciate. That's the thing about art: not everyone sees it from the perspective that you do.
